Obviously, the best ever way to help the War Pets is to give them a forever home away from the conflict: somewhere safe; somewhere where the bombs don't fall day and night; somewhere where there is no terror from the noise and smell of explosions, somewhere there is no risk of being blown up, shot at, burnt.
Somewhere where there is no likelihood of your home being destroyed, your humans being killed or injured, your humans having to go away to fight the war, your humans abandoning you because they can't stand the war any more and decide to leave, abandoning you in the process.

Obviously, adoption isn't an option for everyone or every animal. But, if you can commit to a monthly donation to the partner organisation, you can still be a War Pet Hero. You can provide a specific Survivor with the financial support the Partner Organisation needs to care for your chosen pet, to be involved in its welfare, happiness and future.

We are continually searching for Partners, particularly in EU countries who could provide Rescue Back-Up (RBU) for adopted animals.
Aid Ukraine Animals UK takes the greatest of care when facilitating the rehoming of War Pets between Partner Organisations and adopters BUT, we all know that unforeseen circumstances can occur so we involve animal Organisations in the country of destination in the home-checking process, to 'sign-off' adoption paperwork and provide RBU (funding assistance may be available if necessary). The Partner Organisations in Ukraine are happy to receive help from local and from online volunteers
Imagine caring for maybe 100 animals every day, feeding, cleaning, walking, giving medication. You just don't get the time to do anything.
There are many ways to volunteer: IT tasks, photography, social media tasks, cleaning and animal care tasks, handyman tasks, and animal transport - these are always in demand. Could you help with any of that?
