Kyiv Tails is a charitable foundation. Its goal is to rescue, treat, and find loving families for animals. From the beginning of the war, animals, like people, suffer incredibly. The Ukrainian Army soldiers often rescue and give us animals from the front lines. The rescue animals are in terrible condition: mutilated, burned, hungry and sick. It takes a lot of time, effort, and funds to treat and rehabilitate them so they are ready for adoption. Once upon a time, these animals were someone’s pet, someone’s fur baby – but the owners fled or killed.
War is hell. Every day we try to save the lives of animals, often risking our own (as was the case in Kherson, when our volunteers came under fire and three were seriously wounded).
Every saved life is a victory in this terrible war!
We would be very happy if more people knew about us in the world because it would give us an opportunity to help more animals and make their lives better.
