Some are seriously poorly (may even have life-threatening or life-changing illnesses or injuries), some need treatment following an operation or for a non-life threatening illness from which they will hopefully soon recover, and some simply need just a little extra care for a while.
Our rescue partners deal with a huge range of ER challenges from cats with injuries caused by enemy bombs or getting shot, amputations, and serious life-threatening illnesses such as Panleukopenia (which leads to challenges with isolation of kittens and bio-security measures to protect the other animals) to illnesses caused by parasites, infected wounds from fighting, starvation and so on.
Some of the cats shown in this section will be adoptable in the near, mid-term or long-term future. Some won't make it! But that won't stop our incredible partners from trying BE WAR PETS HEROES!
If you are interested in giving one of these brave cats a forever home when they recover, head to the So You Want to Adopt Page for more information.
To help care for these War Pets in need, why not consider Virtual Adoption?
