What you could do to help us help the animals?No matter where in the World you live!

Aid Ukraine Animals UK, the parent charity of War Pets platform needs people who want to make a difference to join our amazing team.

• Do you have time on your hands? Do you have access to a computer? Are you proficient with Social Media; Facebook, Instagram, X, Telegram?
• Are you good at running fundraising events? Could you run an event where you live, or online, to raise funds for War Pets?
• Do you have experience in Grant Writing? Contacting Organisations/Companies to ask for donations; financial or for food, veterinary supplies etc.?
• Can you spread the word?

Help raise awareness of the plight of the innocent animal victims of the war in Ukraine by sharing and commenting on FB/Instagram posts and X tweets.  Encourage friends, family, and colleagues to adopt, donate, and volunteer themselves.

A lot of work goes on behind the scenes, creating posts, spreading the word, running fundraisers, updating information, providing support, and answering messages.

What you could do to help if you live near one of our partner organisations?

Volunteers/rescuers in Ukraine are unbelievably busy. Many work to support their families in addition to caring for the animals, getting up during the night to go out on a rescue mission or feeding/giving medication to one of their charges. They regularly go without sleep or skip meals.

Do you live near one of our partners? Could you give them some of your time?

Contact the partner Organisation if you could help them with any of the following:

• Might you be interested in fostering a needy War Pet?
• Do you have the skills needed to care for an animal during its quarantine period or following surgery?
• Feeding, cleaning kennels/litter trays, dog walking, socialisation.
• Maintain databases, and keep records of all the animals in their care.
• Can you drive? Do you have a car? Partner Organisations are often called upon to rescue an animal off the street, take an animal to a vet, and provide transport for animals to a foster or forever home. Could you help with that?
• Winter is coming. The animals will need to be kept warm, they will need blankets. Could you organise donations and a collection of blankets?
• Are you a bit of a handyman? Repairs and improvements to centres are always needed. If you are useful with a hammer and saw, there are often jobs that need doing to keep the animals safe and warm.
